We have undergone some changes at KT's Academy over recent months on how we deliver the Certificate III in Pet Grooming.
We now can offer students 2 training options:
1st Option - Practical Pet Stylist Course
Completing 4 weeks and 1 day Hands-On Training at
KTs Academy.
(You do not get a Nationally Recognized Certificate completing this option only)
COURSE STRUCTURE
Mon- Fri 9.30am - 4.30pm Daily
- DAY1 - Trainer and Trainees get to know you day.
Tools & Equipment & Hands On : Bathing, drying techniques.
Discussion & Introduction to Online components. - DAY 2 to Day 20 - All hands on training of all Dog Grooming.
Breed styles, clipping, grooming, specialised scissoring techniques
Complete all dogs being groomed one on one.
Operational Salon: Meeting & greeting clients,
WHS In Workplace - Practical procedures and business processes. - DAY 21 - Graduation Day
Upon completion of Option 1 you will receive a Participation Certificate from KTs Academy
2nd Option - Completing KT's Academy Practical Pet Stylist Course as above, and also completing the Online Component through Heiniger Academy.
Upon completion of Option 2 you will receive a
Cert III in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming)- ACM30122
and a Participation Certificate from KTs Academy

Course Structure
Day 1Trainer and Trainee "Get to Know You" day:
Talk about: Tools & Equipment, Introduction to Bathing & Drying, and Workplace Health & Safety |
Day 2 - 20
Hands-On Grooming: Bathing, Clipping, Scissoring Nail Clipping, etc…
Operational Salon: Meeting & greeting clients, Salon paperwork, processing payments, book-keeping etc. |
Day 21
Graduation Day!

Online Component - Heiniger Academy

The Online Component is mandatory for a Nationally recognised Certification.
This Cert III in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming) ACM30122 is run by
Heiniger Academy which is the trading name for Animal Sciences Training Services Pty Ltd.(ASTS), a Registered Training Organisation which provides certification within the animal care industry.
Heiniger Academy sets out various tasks and assessments that each student must complete in order
to gain the full qualification.
This online component is completed by each student outside of classroom hands-on training times.
Enrolment is done through Heiniger Academy's website.
